When we turn onto Wood St, Syrus gets excited. He knows he's about to see all his friends at American K-9 Doggie Daycare. I'm so glad to know that Michael, Laurie and the staff are caring dog lovers. I'm a bit "overprotective" & won't leave Syrus with just anyone. I'm willing to drive the extra miles (22) and pay a bridge toll each way for the safe feeling I have knowing that Syrus is in good hands. The training class was a plus. I like knowing that Syrus is getting his needed exercise everyday. I want to thank Michael and Laurie for taking extra individual time to answer all my questions I've had. Also for your patience. When we first moved to Middletown, we decided that we needed to find a place for Gus, our energetic two year old lab. He needs to burn off some energy. Having brought Gus to daycare near our previous home, we were very excited to find out about American K-9 during one of our first trips to the Middletown dog park. Since then, we could not imagine how we would get along without Mike, Laurie and the gang. Gus absolutely loves his time at American K-9, which is obvious from the way he bounces around the back seat every time we arrive. At the end of the day we pick him up just as happy, if only with quite a bit less energy from his day of activity. Our family loves American K-9. The daycare is great for India. She always comes home happy and relaxed. I have really enjoyed the training that I have taken at American K-9. Michael is a very caring and skilled instructor and the classes are well run. India and I are currently taking an "on-going" advanced obedience class and it has kept her skills sharp and her behavior continues to improve. Michael is a great trainer! He has helped me so much with my German Shepherd that I adopted. After finding out I had a disability, I was unable to exercise her. Michael showed me how to use a "trike beach bicycle" (3 wheels) & run her. She was also not good with other dogs. I take her to American K-9 for daycare and this has helped her a lot. I can now take he for walks. I am looking forward to when I can take her to training classes. Mary Martindale 08-18-09
